My background

My name is Davy AGONMA. I earned a professional bachelor's degree in IT and telecommunications at UNSTIM, then moved on to a master's in software engineering at IFRI, University of Abomey-Calavi. Alongside client work, I'm specialising in data science through several training programmes.

What I do day to day

My work splits between product development — Laravel backends, Next.js applications, Flutter apps —, process automation with n8n and AI integration, and search-optimised web content. These three reinforce each other: a well-built product is useless if nobody finds it, and good content isn't enough if the tool behind it can't hold up.

How I work

Short iterations, visible deliverables every week, and technical decisions explained in business language. You keep control of your code and documentation: I deliver a healthy foundation, not a dependency.

What I work on

Web & SaaS development

Next.js applications and Laravel backends: marketplaces, client portals, subscription MVPs.

Automation & AI

n8n workflows, OpenAI and Gemini API integration, editorial pipelines and agents with human validation.

Web copywriting & SEO

Semantic architecture, structured data and content aligned with real search intent.

Flutter mobile

One codebase for iOS and Android, with testable builds every week.

Data science & machine learning

Python, scikit-learn and Streamlit: data cleaning, regression, clustering and recommendation systems.

My transition into data science

I come from backend development, and I'm gradually moving into data science. This isn't a theoretical transition: I'm following four programmes alongside client work, and every concept I learn ends up in a public Python project. My master's thesis is on constraint-based recommendation systems. The goal is to connect what I already do — building and automating products — with the ability to make the data they produce speak.

The projects tagged "Data" in the portfolio come from this track: supervised regression, clustering implemented by hand, constraint programming.
